It’s the Glorious First of June! Readers and fans of Patrick O’Brian’s wonderful series of Aubrey-Maturin novels about the Napoleon-era Royal Navy can explain.
Now, about Streaming Servers. We installed Apple’s OS X Server 1.2 on our G4 Server box yesterday, and we plan to upgrade to the new version, OS X Server 10.0 (big jump from version 1.2 to version 10.0). Among our first assignments is streaming clips from various films concerning technology. My first attempt at streaming yesterday failed; not sure why a QuickTime clip would launch RealPlayer.——-
