iPhone Camp Atlanta

Attending the iPhone Camp Atlanta unconference; the session just winding up is about WIMAX in Atlanta via Clear. William Higgins talks Clear WIMAX High speed internet anywhere in the coverage area; but no Mac client yet, nor with the betas of Windows 7. William Higgins, the rep presenting here, says they’re working on it, but it’s a surprising misstep for such a technology offering. I’m using his connection now to post this.

It will be great once it’s available more places and they offer support for more than XP and Vista. I look forward to exploring the available options for higher education—like live video monitoring over WIMAX of student teachers without having to get schools or systems to change their firewalls.
